I am the founder and the creator of Mags Fleming Hair and have had an established client base in the Zürich and Zug area since 2017.

I grew up in a small town just outside Glasgow in Scotland with my mum, dad and younger brother.  As a child, I would often help out in our family retail business and I enjoyed interacting with the public, so I knew from quite a young age that I wanted to do something that allowed me to work directly with people.

Fashion and style were always my passion, so I was naturally drawn to hairdressing.

At the age of 17 I began my training at the best local salon I could find. I quickly learned my trade and loved it, so within a short time became a senior designer and then salon manager.

During my career in Scotland, I trained with companies such as Goldwell, Paul Mitchell and 365 Hairdressing. I completed many advanced cutting courses hosted by some of the top hairdressers in the UK.

I ultimately qualified as a City & Guilds approved trainer for our salon in 2002, an achievement that I am extremely proud of.

In 2013 I was introduced to David who lived and worked in Switzerland and after many flights to and from Scotland, we married in January 2015 and started our new life in Switzerland.

I rediscovered the excitement of skiing and fell in love with the beautiful mountains and lakes, spending my time making new friends, learning about Swiss culture, walking with our wee dog Harry and embracing our new life together. 

During my first year in Switzerland, I achieved my B1 certificate in German, which allowed me to begin working in a Swiss salon. Whilst working there, I found that my services were being sought specifically by English speaking clients. I discovered that there was a large Ex-Pat community around Zürich and it seemed the natural direction for my new business. With the support of my husband, I took the plunge and launched MAGS FLEMING HAIR.
